Project Description
A Blood Donation Program was successfully organized at two locations, Kamalnagar, Narayangarh, and BYD Park, Gondrang, through the joint efforts of Rotary Club of Chitwan, Kamalnagar Bazaar Management Committee (Kamalnagar, Narayangarh), BYD Chitwan, Lions Club of Narayangarh Sangamchok (District Model Club), Lions Club of Narayangarh Sangamchok Sanjivini, and Lions Club of Narayangarh Professional. The program was coordinated on behalf of Rotary Club of Chitwan by Rtn. Manoj Barnwal. Rtn. Er. Puran Subedi, First Vice President of Rotary Club of Chitwan, delivered the welcome remarks, introduced Rotary, and briefed the participants about the Club’s ongoing preparations for relief material distribution to communities affected by recent floods and landslides. The program emphasized the importance of blood donation, the need for regular voluntary blood donation, and the role of service organizations in humanitarian service. The event received an encouraging response from blood donors from different sectors of the community, and a total of 151 pints of blood were collected from the two locations. Rtn. Gopal Bhattarai, President-Nominee of Rotary Club of Chitwan, stated that the collected blood would help ensure timely availability of blood for patients in need and contribute to reducing difficulties caused by blood shortages during medical treatment. The program was attended by Past Presidents Rtn. Tikaram Kandel, Rtn. Uttam Lal Chuke, Rtn. Roshan Piya, and Rtn. Bhanu Sharma, along with President-Nominee Rtn. Gopal Bhattarai, First Vice President Rtn. Er. Puran Subedi, Second Vice President Rtn. Shangrila Shrestha, Secretary Rtn. Roshan Kharel, Treasurer Rtn. Yogita Piya, Joint Secretary Rtn. Kabita Chuke, Rtn. Niraj Khanal, Sergeant-at-Arms Rtn. Janak Kumar Dhakal, Associate Editor Rtn. Achyut Neupane, Member Rtn. Manoj Barnwal, and other members and participants. Past President Rtn. Roshan Piya, Secretary Rtn. Roshan Kharel, Treasurer Rtn. Yogita Piya, and Member Rtn. Manoj Barnwal also donated blood during the program, demonstrating their commitment to humanitarian service. With the message, “Your Blood Can Save a Life,” the program successfully raised awareness about the importance of voluntary and regular blood donation while encouraging greater community participation in humanitarian activities.
